Happy Birthday Celebration! Featuring: Honey Bee Stamps!

Hello and welcome back!

I wanted find ways to stretch the use of my new stamp and dies sets!  The bottle, from Message In A Bottle, makes the perfect champagne or wine bottle! Depending on the color of card stock or color you add, there are tons of ways to use the bottle and cork that come in this set.

Below I have added a quick process video on exactly how I made,  and what supplies were used to make this birthday card. I hope you'll take a couple minutes to check it out. If you'd rather watch it on YouTube, please check it out HERE!

All of the supplies used for this card and video are listed at the end of this post ;)

I chose  to make my champagne pink! I used Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick. I stamped all of the spraying part first with a stamp from the Celebration Box stamp set. Next, I used the brand new Under Water Scene Stencil to add all of the bubbles. The bottle was colored and stamped in Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. I cut the Celebrate sentiment from Rose Gold Glittered Card Stock. The same glitter card stock was used as a layer under the bottle panel. To add just a touch more sparkle, I adhere several Wedding Band Rhinestones with Nuvo Liquid Adhesive. I'm loving these new rhinestones! They are flat-backed and so easy to add to your projects!

To coordinate with the celebrate on the front, I stamped "It's Your Birthday" on the inside with the Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink. The bubbles are found in the Celebration Box Stamp set.  To finish off the inside I added a few more rhinestones! There you have it! An easy way to transform your Message In A Bottle Stamps and Dies into champagne or even wine! I can't wait to see what you guys create with your bottles!

Making Wave Backgrounds Using Honey Bee Stamps NEW Cloud Border Dies!

Hi there friends!
Do you need background ideas for all those sweet mermaid and ocean themed products that Honey Bee Stamps just released? Look no further! I made a reusable mask with the brand new Cloud Borders Dies. Perfect for scenes and backgrounds with clouds, but also make awesome wave patterns!

I've created and added a video below with all the details. I hope you'll check it out! If you'd rather watch it on YouTube....click HERE to visit our channel.

Here's a close up of the Shimmer Spritz background. I used the Honey Bee Stamps A2 Stitched Rectangles to cut down the background. Both of the mermaids are from the Under the Sea Stamp set. These stamps have coordinating dies, which made it super easy to cut and add the images. All of the greeting came from the Mermaid Song Stamp Set. This stamp set is a must have for great ocean, sea creature, mermaid themed sentiments!

This is the background I simply sprayed with water to get that amazing oxide reaction! The final touch for these cards is the drops or splashes of water added using Nuvo Crystal Glaze.

I did some simple stamping and added a kelp die cut to decorate the inside of this card. I love the way these backgrounds and cards turned out!

UNDER THE SEA Blog Hop....New Release from HONEY BEE STAMPS!

Good Morning Crafty Friends!

Swim along with our New Release - Under The Sea with Honey Bee! Everything is available for purchase today in the Honey Bee Stamps Shop  HERE.

Warning!!! This is a picture heavy post....SO MANY AWESOME THINGS TO SHARE!

I've included a video below that details exactly how I used these awesome new stamps! I hope that you will check it out. If you'd like to watch the video on YouTube, please go HERE!

I have created a set of 4 cards using the beautiful Zen Ocean and Mermaid Song Stamp Sets. I couldn't wait to heat emboss that HUGE Zen Ocean Stamp and use my Distress Oxide Inks to blend over the top.

I created a space on each card to stamp the greetings by using the Honey Bee Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut white card stock. I adhered each piece at an angle and then simply trimmed off the three sides that hung over the edge of my heat embossed background.

Each sentiment was found in the huge 6x8 Mermaid Song Stamp Set. I placed each panel into my Misti and stamped the greetings in Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

I also stamped and heat embossed several single images included in the Zen Ocean set. I colored each image very simply by using my inky blending tools. After fussy cutting each critter or sea shell, I added them along side each greeting.

Honey Bee Stamps has also released many new sequin mixes and embellishments! I used the Clear Bubbles Sequin mix on all but one of the cards. On the other I used a stick on Pearl I had in my stash.  Each of the finished panels was added to a top folding card base.

Below is a product list of the new release!

Honey Bee Stamps New Release Day 3: Swimming By and Ocean Bliss

Hello and Welcome!

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to share part of the newest release from Honey Bee Stamps! I literally squealed when I opened my package and saw all the beautiful Under the Sea themed stamps, dies, and embellishments!

The first card I have to share with you was made using the amazing Swimming By Stamp Set! I stamped this beautiful mermaid in Versamark sticky ink and then covered the stamped image in white embossing powder. I didn't want her facial features in the white embossing powder, so I carefully brushed the powder on her face away with a small paint brush. I then set the powder with a heat tool until all of the powder was smooth. The mermaid was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and then I used a paint brush and clean water to smooth and blend the colored pigment. I hand drew her face on by simply using the watermark ink left behind by the Versamark ink when I originally stamped the image.

The background inside of the shaker portion of the card was created using the new Ocean Borders Background Stamp. I again stamped the background design with Versamark sticky ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. This time I used Distress Inks  and mini ink blenders to blend on a base layer of color. I then smooshed the ink pads onto my work surface and painted on individual swirls and waves with a paint brush. This gave the wave design beautiful variation and texture. The shaker was filled with the new Clear Bubbles Sequin Mix. These sequins and circles make the perfect embellishment for all of the Under the Sea release critters and mermaids. I stamped the greeting "Swimming by To Say" on the acetate of my shaker with black Stazon Ink. This type of ink is perfect to use on the slick surface of your shaker cards!

I couldn't leave the inside of the card blank....I stamped the "Happy Birthday" greeting that is also included in the Swimming By Stamp Set. I colored and added the mermaid's sweet little turtle friend and added him along with a few of the Clear Bubbles Sequins.

I also have the privilege of introducing you to the Ocean Bliss Stamp Set! Isn't this the sweetest little mermaid?  I think she looks so happy and content sitting on her rock. This stamp set includes this beautiful mermaid image as well as greetings that go along with her perfectly!

I had so much fun creating this sunset card. I've made and attached a process video with all of the details! I hope you will take the time to check it out;) While you are visiting our YouTube Channel....BEE sure to subscribe! We have many, many new designers with LOTS of BEE-youtiful inspiration.
